Caitlin May

Caitlin May is an R&B singer/songwriter based in Beethoven’s hometown of Bonn, Germany. The 25-year-old combines modern R&B, hip hop, and trap sounds with old-school flows and lyricism, heavily influenced by the 90s and 00s. She grew up in a musical family and has been performing shows in bands since she was 9 years old. As a child, Caitlin May listened to artists like P!nk and Amy Winehouse, but as she grew up her style was developed by artists such as Frank Ocean and SZA, as well as her circle of friends that shifted her to hip hop, R&B, and rap.
Since mid-2020, Caitlin May has teamed up with Streetburnerz Productions and she released her debut album on Valentines Day, 2021. Garden of Eden tells the story of a complicated relationship between two people. The album title reflects a false perfect world, a paradisiacal Garden of Eden, one has created in their head. With each song, the listener gets a further look into how things evolve in the story, and how the mind can create an almost perfect image of a relationship even though that might not be the case; because everyone tends to see things through rose-coloured glasses now and then.
